Day 01 – Favorite Linkin Park Song [30 Days of Linkin Park]

Photobucket

So this is kind of tough, because I generally have a favorite song on every album…and my favorite song changes to my mood XD

But…in the spirit of being fair…I think the most unique and well done track that I absolutely love is…

*drum roll*

When They Come For Me!!!!!!!

This song is from the album “A Thousand Suns” for those of you not up-to-date with the happenings of Linkin Park 😛 It’s incredibly special because it features an African-style beat(THREE band members on drums during a performance of the song) and what I term “Indian style singing”. Not only that, but this was a track that allowed rapper and vocalist, Mike Shinoda, to return to a more head on style of rap thus far only seen in his Fort Minor album. The overall style just completely pumps you up and you feel like you can do anything. Thus- it is my favorite. The only disappointing thing is that it was not chosen to be a single on the album. If it had, I’m sure it would have drawn a lot of positive attention to the album.

If you haven’t heard “When They Come for Me” check it out at iTunes.

(or Spotify if you have it)
